We are New York State School Parents and Guardians, the only legitimate lobbyists for our children. New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo needs to rescind his usurpation of our voices and instead start listening to us, the only legitimate representatives of school children's interests. Governor Cuomo needs to pull all advertisements asserting privilege as our children's lobbyist and commence a listening tour where he solicits ideas from, and especially the complaints of, parents and guardians across New York State. While he's at it, he needs to listen to the students, as well.

I am an art teacher. I do not force tests on my students. But for some reason, they work extremely hard in my class, and they get a lot out of it. I don't appear to be advocates for the arts, and my district is losing funding because of your tactics, arts are getting hurt because of what your doing!

Justice. Tell the Calif. Dept. of Edu. that $600,000 vanishes each year from the million dollar school that couldn't.

I am signing because the public schools in New York City are under too much pressure for good test scores and are losing the focus of the joy of learning. There's too much pressure on the teachers, administrators and children. I am considering pulling my son from the public system because of this reason. Most parents don't have that option and are being held hostage by a system that's based on fear.
