      Kristy Bower

Ronald Bower has been wrongfully convicted of heinous sex crimes that many believe he did not commit. His supporters include but are not limited to the New York State Attorney General's Office Chief of the Conviction Review Bureau, Mr. Thomas Schellhammer, a former Investigator with the Inspector General's Office of the New York State Department of Corrections, Mr. Timothy Huff, a former Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Mr. James Hughes, Bureau Chief of the Legal Aid Society of Nassau County Appeals Bureau, Mr. Jeremy Goldberg (his long-time attorney keeping up the good fight for justice) as well as former members of the NYPD who worked on his case.

Ronald Bower passed a polygraph examination and has asserted his innocence the entire nightmare that has lasted almost 23 years. He is due to be released on parole after his Nassau SORA March 25th (He was labeled the highest level 3 "Sexually Violent Offender") and Queens SORA hearing which has been postponed till May 2, 2014. His granted release on parole came after a letter that was sent by the NYS Attorney General's office stating "It appears highly unlikely that Bower committed the crimes."  The nightmare continues, as he will have to register as a sex offender despite his innocence. Housing is extremely limited for those who bare such a title and he has already been denied at his family's home in Queens as well as local shelters. Ronald Bower cannot be released from prison until he has approved housing.

The 2 men who appear in the mugshot are that of Ronald Bower on the right and Michael Perez (a former New York City Police Officer) on the left. The pattern of sexual assaults continued, three of which Ronald Bower was charged for and two of which he was convicted of, and the man caught in the middle of one those apparent assaults was Michael Perez. Michael Perez who looks remarkably similar to Bower, better fit the physical descriptions of the assailant as to height and weight, owning the very gun Ronald Bower never possessed but was convicted of using during the crimes, and many other factors. Michael Perez at the time of these crimes was an active duty New York City Police Officer, who in fact was off-duty for every single one of the sexual assaults in the pattern. Perez, after being caught in one of the two sexual assaults he was tried for, by his fellow officers in the NYPD, was permitted to go home and put on a suit and tie for his mugshot. Bower was placed in over a dozen line-ups and forced to wear the hoody depicted in his mugshot. The sexual crime pattern continued after Ronald Bower's encarceration, where Michael Perez is caught in the very act but somehow aqcuitted. Coincidence? I think not.

Please help stop this injustice and support Ronald Bower's Exoneration.

it sounds from the information presented that the attorney's office believes him to be innocent. If so, this man should be fully exonerated. I do not want to see my tax dollars being used to hurt someone. I would assume if he is exonerated, he can sue, and that is his right. It sounds as though the truth has been known for a long time.

Justice is the order that keeps everything in line. If we sacrifice too much justice we lose the hold of law and dive into chaos. This man has served time he never should have lost out on years with his family and daughter. Ronald should have the Pardon and be able to find a way to salvage a life that was taken from him.
