      Dear all,

First of all thank you so much for your incredible support of this perfectly viable sustainable transport scheme for the New Forest. Sadly such is their members dislike for anything cycling related New Forest NPA had a successful majority vote NOT to back the scheme.

HOWEVER! As New Forest NPA are not a highways authority it is in fact Hampshire County Council who have the final say in this matter, and with your continued help in sharing and signing this petition there is still the possibility that the scheme CAN go ahead with the backing of Hampshire County Council. We just need you to keep the public pressure up and get the authorities to see logical reason!

      Thanks again :)

Much needed and long over due. The Local Authority needs to support cycling in the area or people will start to vote with their feet, which will affect to small local business'. The New Forest should be accessible by bike, horse, foot and car.

The allocated money should be used to repair roads which have been damaged by cars not bikes. This a HCC responsibility.

I do not support the Borris Bikes scheme. However I would prefer that the entire funding should be spent on creating and repairing cycle routes in the New Forest and not for reparing roads. It is an absolute disgrace and a complete con. Stop It Now!

I regularly cycle in the New Forest, which is healthy and a great way to see this beautiful part of the country

It would be lovely if the new forest was bikes only, the terrain is perfect for it and the roads get clogged with cars
