Narrows Bridge Tolling

The tolling commission had a news release today stating they are considering raising tolls to cross the bridge by as much as $2 more per crossing. This would mean a Good to Go pass holder would pay as much a $4.70 per crossing while those without the pass will pay as much as $6. Raising the tolls is a heartless effort that will take more money out of struggling families pockets. They will not be paid more to compensate for this raise so this money would have to come out of an already stressed budget. An additional $40 a month in tolls for the person who crosses the bridge for work would amount to gas to get to work, a meal for a family, a visit with my own...many things!

This is ridiculous!! When will the greed end. We need to find out the names of individuals who are trying to increase the rates.

being a senior citizen, I have to live on a budget, it's time the rest of the state does too. Gas, groceries, taxes, going up, eegads enough is enough already!

Just another tax. Government never gets enough. They are always hungry for more. We have to stop feeding this animal!!!! I make many trips to Oregon. I always go around Shelton way. 5 miles shorter. May take a little bit longer but is more relaxing, driving slower for better mileage and save money by missing the bridge.

Every time you give someone power to collect more, whether it be tolls or taxes, it's abused.

Not fair for the hundreds, maybe thousands of people that HAVE to cross the bridge due to the jobs and Dr. appointments, etc. Shame on you tolling commission !!
