Ensure a fair court hearing for Beth Alexander's twin sons in Vienna

    1. Petition by

      Adrian Alexander

      London, United Kingdom

We, the undersigned, call on the British and Austrian governments to do all they can to ensure a fair court hearing for Beth Alexander in the custody case of her twin sons Samuel and Benjamin Schlesinger in Vienna. These children were removed from her care in July 2011 by an order from Austrian judge Susanne Göttlicher. This sudden ruling awarded 100% sole custody to the father with immediate effect, and with no visiting rights for the mother.

We ask that the British and Austrian authorities investigate the legal proceedings which have caused so much unjustified pain, damage and trauma to Beth and her twin sons, and do all that they can to bring a fair and swift resolution to the case.

    3. The appeal court endorse barbaric sole custody with father

The appeal court have rejected EVERYTHING! Our application for custody, our application for better visitation rights, our application to fine the father for all the cancelled visits and our application for an assessment of the father and the children.

Agony for mother after losing custody of children in 'barbaric' Austrian ruling

Mrs Schlesinger said: "I'm in shock and disbelief. There seems to be no justice in this country that they can deprive two little boys of their mother in such a barbaric way. "There has been no assessment of the children and no assessment of the father. "The children are in a terrible state.

    4. Schlesinger Twins - Judge Susanne Göttlicher's Illegal custody decision

      TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE

The judge has made a final custody order.

Samuel and Benjamin’s father has been awarded FULL & IMMEDIATE CUSTODY. My visiting rights remain the same- every Tuesday 11- 5pm and every second Sunday 9-5pm. Visits are to continue at the centre and I will still have to pay 44 Euros each visit to see my children. My applications for weekend access and overnight visits have all been denied by Judge Susanne Göttlicher.

Once again, her decision came as a total shock. She has held NO CUSTODY HEARINGS, has heard all my witnesses IN SECRET COURT, behind closed doors so I did not have the opportunity to cross-examine them or present any of my evidence.

She has not commissioned a psychological assessment on the father or the children, despite my repeated applications and despite her instructions to do so by both the Appeal Court and Supreme Court.

I have a 14 day window to appeal. It is holiday time in Vienna and the city has practicall

    8. Donations don't go to Beth, they go to change.org

Thank you for signing our petition calling for a fair trial for Samuel and Benjamin Schlesinger. It has come to our attention that the website has been asking people to donate funds after signing the petition. We were not aware of this and are upset at the website asking for donations associated with our cause. We certainly don't see any of this money and hope this was made clear on the screen at the time. Throughout this campaign we have not asked for any financial help from anybody. If you have mistakenly, made a donation, please let us know and we will try to find out where this money has gone.

    9. Demonstration this Wednesday 13th March @6:00pm

      Adrian Alexander

On Wednesday evening 13th March at 6:30PM, there will be a reception at the Austrian Embassy hosted by His Excellency Ambassador Emil Brix to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Anschluss (the occupation and annexation of Austria into Nazi Germany in 1938). They have invited AJR members (Association of Jewish Refugees) to attend this reception with the aim of rebuilding bridges of a failed past.

We will be simultaneously holding a demonstration from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, on Wednesday 13th March, outside the embassy in response to their event to remind the Austrian government that they are presiding over this horrific miscarriage of justice right now, in Austria, TODAY.

Children have a right to and need regular contact with BOTH of their parents to flourish. This is unjust for them
