Change policy requiring purchase of combined print/digital subscriptions

    1. Petition by

      Maria Tambini

      Dover, NJ

Elderly people on fixed incomes, who rely on their local newspaper as a source of entertainment and news, cannot afford to pay higher subscription rates for digital content that they do not want and are unlikely to use. These folks need a subscription option that allows them to continue receiving the print-only edition of the Daily Record during the week at their current subscription rate. Forcing elderly people to pay for content they don't want and didn't ask for is unfair and disrespectful!

I enjoy reading the paper with my breakfast, I rarely look at it on the internet.

I think this is totally unfair to our elderly. You'll be taking away from them something (your paper) that they look forward to each day. They have it hard enough.Shame on your owners. Greed !!!

Customers shouldn't be forced to pay for a product they don't use. Gannet is abusing the monopoly they have established in Parsippany NJ. I hope this goes viral and ends up costing Gannet huge money. Greedy corporate scum!

The policy is descriminatory, It charges many non-cyberspace using seniors for a service they will never use. They should pay for what they hold in their hands, and that only.
