More Green Space for Downtown Wilmington

    1. Petition by

      Patricia Shaw

We the undersigned request that a park for public use be created on the site of the parking deck located at Water street between Chestnut and Grace st.

We understand that the city sold and repurchased this site from private developers. Now is the time for the city to provide a park for public use downtown.

Please leave suggestions of what you would like in this green space in the comment section when you sign the petition. This online petition and hard copy version will be sent to our city leaders.

I used to live in wilmington, and still visit from time to time. Adding green space to the downtown area would open and freshen up the area. Give it a larger appeal for socialising!

there is not a green space downtown. It would be nice to be able to take your family and just have a sit, or picnic lunch.

I attend CFCC and do alot of volunteer activities concerning the environment. I've seen what our community can do to improve itself. We are motivated to be progressive in being green. Additionally, Any beautification in the downtown area would only benefit our ever growing tourism industry.
