In the past decade, Montclair State University's tuition has gone up by over 100% and what have we gotten out of it? Faculty has seen stagnant wages, classes are overcrowded and many are unavailable, buildings are inaccessible, and our voices are silenced.

The BoT has proposed a 4% increase fr this year and has only allowed us the one annual opportunity to speak out against them. Don't let them silence you. Tell them to stop bleeding students dry!

Coming from a Private University to State one, I believe this is ridiculous that there's such an increase when I see a lack of services working properly, safety being very inept and maintenance subpar in comparison. I still ask where are current tuition is going to with what we pay now. I know things cost money however something is not adding up with what is spent and what is being put in.The Faculty is great and I would hate to drop out because of the rising cost.

I'm the third child in my family in college- These tuition increases are absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary. I deserve an education and NJ is making it more difficult and difficult for my family as well as myself. I am already over $20k in debt and my sophomore year hasn't even STARTED! Give us a BREAK!

As a recent MSU graduate myself, I can vouch that these increases have done nothing for the students or the faculty. The teachers were petitioning pay cuts not less than a year ago. Why is their pay being cut, their benefits slashed, if tuition is rising? Oh right, because Susan Cole and the Board of Trustees deserve an outrageous amount of money for what they do... what is that again?

If we could afford higher tuition we wouldn't be going to a state school. Increasing tuition is only going to push students into debt or further into debt.
