The right to assembly is a 1st amendment right granted by the Constitution and Occupy Wall Street has kept their space clean with medics and security there 24/7. Therefore the excuse of public health and safety is void. Also, the 99% have a right to demand more economic equality and higher wages from the 1%.

People are now finally starting to consistently sign this petition and it's now time for me to ask for help to expand it to the next level, as I have been promoting this on my own and with some followers retweeting as well on twitter. Use email, Facebook, and Twitter to let people know about signing this petition! Being a petition promoter is easy, all promoters need to do is post the petition on Facebook, email or IM friends, or get some bloggers to put up your widget. Remember, word of mouth is still the most powerful way to gain support for any online campaign... Thanks for all the help so far and I have added a link with additional promotional advice if you want to help me take this to the next level!

A court in Massachusetts has established that, when shelter is needed for a long-term protest, that shelter is covered under the

First Amendment. Don't defy the Bill of Rights!

Because I oppose the treasonous act of denying the people their rights, guaranteed to them by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I oppose the oppression and selling out of the American people for the benefit of the economically elite, who are effectively driving this country into the ground. I oppose the fact that this country has become exactly what the founders of this country sought to escape. I oppose the hypocrisy of the leaders of this country supporting civilians uprising overseas in countries like Egypt and Syria and Libya, criticizing those governments of suppressing the people's rights of assembly, of speech, and of protest, then doing exactly the same thing when the American people rise up in protest of identical crimes within our own country. I oppose the fact that the government of this country has allowed itself to be bought by Wall Street, and that Wall Street has found it necessary to buy the government. I oppose the militarization of police and the unlawful evictions of protestors who have done nothing wrong, who have in fact done their patriotic duty in protesting the injustices of the criminals who own this country. I am an American, and I WILL stand up for my rights.

I thought President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton looked up to the people in Egypt and other countries citizens that were standing up for their rights. I thought that's what it meant in the Constitution when the People assemble Peacefully and I thought this was the way to address our grievances. To say the first amendment is our right is an understatement when you consider the hypocrisy displayed by our government. When other countries do it, they are Heroes! When we do it here, we are a disgrace? The days of do as I say not as I do are coming to an end soon, no doubt about that.

The egregious abuse of power by Bloomberg against exercising free speech as well as the suppression of news reporting and participation in my government.
