Every year over 70 million sharks are captured, skinned of their fins and thrown back into the ocean to die. This is a horrific practice that is driving the species to extinction. The world does not NEED shark fin soup but our planet does need sharks who have been here for millions of years occupying a unique and irreplacable place in our planetary ecosystem. The city of Toronto to their credit has implemented a ban and we hope to see one in Vancouver soon. Please help us to halt this barbaric and wasteful practice - one city at a time.

Please let Vancouver give off a good example in banning the trade in shark products and thereby contributing to the protection of the world's endangered sharks!

It's inhumane to harm any living creature, just to make a bowl of soup! Look at Campbels, people and leave the sharks alone!

Such a heartbreaking thing to do -- and a delicacy that is totally unnecessary. Completely believe in your cause!
