      Jersey City, NJ

Jersey Shore spinoff to be set at Grove St and Mercer St in Downtown Jersey City.
Jersey City is currently a great mix of young couples, young families, artists, and musicians. Not only are Jennifer "JWoww" Farley and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi going to be blot on the landscape of an otherwise great neighborhood, they'll bring with them the conflict, drunken fools, vomit, and violence associated with the show. Try to go out to a bar on Newark Ave or to Biergarten on a Friday night and the film crew will get priority. You'll have to sign waivers just to enter a restaurant. Jersey City will inherit the associations that Seaside now has and once again, give all of NJ a bad name.

Just say NO to MTV and Jersey Shore!!

As a proud New Jersian and veteran of our armed forces. I feel disrespected and ashamed of our Hudson county officials. I have participated in operation enduring freedom, Iraqi freedom, and joint task force operation horn of africa. I have shown great pride in my hometown, countty and state. I havent heard about this" jersey Shore" show until I have been nicknamed as so while I was in North Dakota and Montana. I have been quick to be prejudiced and stereotyped becuase of the image and acions these degenerates give the great state of New Jersey. Forget about our great talent of Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, etc.. or our amazing athletes like James Braddock, people who have represented our community with talent. These individuals will do he exact opposite. I wont just hurt the community but your citizens and current tax payers as they go abroad. Please boycott this show for the sake of the young men and women going abroad to give our area a good name in these tough times, wheter it is in the armed forces, school, etc. The reputation these individuals will make will be hurtful and hardening to these trying to do good whom you serve.

There is no gain for Jersey City with this move. We will be subjected to late night bar brawls and unsolicited crotch shots.

To the 'outside world', Jersey City already has a rough reputation. Mayor Healy has clearly had his head buried in the sand (of the Jersey Shore) if he thinks this will attract any sort of positive attention for our community.

i was a resident of JC and would be heartbroken to see its unique,

burgeoning community destroyed by mass media culture. you're bringing Monsanto to a community farm. don't do it!
