Victory

From Joshua Opper: An organized grassroots effort that assisted and collaborated with local larger organizations petitioned, used the press, local forums and rallied the support of business owners and citizens managed to repeal an unjust tax in just 2 months.

This tax will cripple small IT service companies in Massachusetts. It will also drive services that can be performed anywhere with today's technology out of the state of Massachusetts. The actual law is vague and written so as to be almost indecipherable.

To:
Massachusetts Governor
Massachusetts State Senate
Massachusetts State House
Please Consider Repealing the tax on IT services. This tax inhibits IT business in our state and has a considerable impact on small companies who either provide or use these services.

Sincerely,
[Your name]

I work in the software industry, usually for small startups who are on a tight budget to begin with.

Please don't give IT businesses another reason to leave the state.

Our clients are startups and already are budget constrained. It makes our service offered less appealing when they can save money by choosing an out of state vendor.
