Make history in Maine: Pledge to support the freedom to marry!

    1. Sponsored by

      Mainers United for Marriage

All over Maine, loving, committed same-sex couples are already doing the hard work of marriage. Couples like Suzanne and Sandi – together for 11 years – are raising families and bettering their communities.

Sign our pledge if you believe they should have the freedom to marry.

This year we have the historic opportunity to vote “Yes” to affirm, not take away, the freedom for same-sex couples to obtain marriage licenses.

Couples – like Jim Bishop and Steve Ryan, together 34 years – deserve the dignity, support and recognition that only marriage can provide.

This November, we can make history by winning marriage at the ballot in Maine. Be a part of the campaign by adding your name to our pledge today!

Loving, committed same-sex couples are already doing the hard work of marriage. I believe they deserve the dignity, support, and recognition that only marriage can provide them.

I pledge to help make history in November when Mainers can vote “Yes” to affirm, not take away, the freedom to marry for same-sex couples.

Love is love. Every person on this earth deserves equal rights. We all breathe the same air and drink the same water; why can't we all enjoy the same rights?

Unfortunately I no longer live in Maine so cannot vote there. This is a civil and social issue, not a religious one. If you remove the religious element there is no rational basis for excluding same sex couples from the marriage union. It's about commitment for crying out loud, not sexual preferences.... I am a native Mainiac, and a downeaster yet. It's time the state moved on to the new century!!! And my 40 years in a loving heterosexual relationship just confirms that it's all about commitment...

My partner & I have been together 31 years! I want the younger generation to have the rights that we never did! I also want much less bullying in this world for the younger people! OX
