      Maurice, United States

This facility is a bulk chemical plant moving from New Iberia, where they blew themselves up last year, to north Vermilion parish. They are moving to 64 acres west of Maurice proper; a rural community with massive residential growth, schools, churches, businesses, farms, fisheries, Chicot aquifer, etc.

Because it impacts people I know who are concerned about what happened in New Iberia and the way this has been pushed without proper notice to those who will be directly affected. I am also concerned about the potential damage and further deterioration of care for the environment in and of Louisiana and our valuable natural resources -- some at risk that are essential for health and livelihood.

I live one mile from this construction sight and I am very concerned with our safety and health.

Most of my family live within 10 minutes of this location and I believe this is a threat to their health and safety. I also own farm land near the proposed location and do not want to see it damaged by hazardous chemicals.

My home is very near this plant. My cousin had to evacuate her home when Multi-Chem's plant exploded in New Iberia.
