FOR THE RECORD I DO NOT SMOKE POT, BUT I THINK IT WOULD HELP THE SICK, STATE OF FLORIDA ECONOMY, AND DECREASE CRIME RATE.
First off, unemployment went down (not radically, but any progress with unemployment is good with the hard times we are in). Also crime rate (when it came to drugs) rapidly, went down. Proof of this is in the country Argentina where since cannabis went legal drug use surprisingly dropped including use of marijuana.
Next if medical marijuana went legal (under strict medical conditions) the local economy of Florida will be strongly affected if the state taxes it correctly.
Finally tourism. New York has homosexual marriages, and since then thousands of people moved to New York to get married to fit that life style, and basically feel accepted. If we work together, and legalize medical marijuana we will have a HUGE increase on tourism, and residency in Florida. Which is good for theme parks, local business, and other things that make Florida the wonderful place it is.
I hope you have read this whole letter regarding this topic. I know it's an extremely touchy subject, but I think under the right circumstances, this could be an amazing step forward for Florida. If you like this topic could you point me in the right direction to get this looked at by the state, remember sometimes one voice is all you need to do something incredible.
