      Denver, CO

Andrew J Johnson, my step father lost nearly 24 years of his life serving a life sentence for rape and burglary. In March 2013, DNA testing confirmed that Andrew was not the perpetruator of the crime. Dispite this evidence Laramie County District Attorney Scott Homar still intends to re-prosecute my step father.
Please sign this petition asking District Attorney Homar to exhonerate Andrew and end this 24 year long nightmare.

To:
Scott Homar, Laramie County District Attorney
Exonerate Andrew J Johnson, end this nearly 24 year miscarriage of justice!

Sincerely,

I want to thank everyone who took the time to read, sign and share my petition. Your support truly means the world to me and my step dad. AJ is doing well. He has a great support system and amazingly he maintains an upbeat, positive attitude despite all he has been through.
      Again, thank you very much!

DNA matches victim's fiance in old Wyoming rape case

CHEYENNE - Additional DNA testing in a 24-year-old Wyoming rape case shows a match to the man who was the victim's fiance at the time, rather than the man who is in prison serving a life sentence for the crime. A state district judge in Cheyenne will hold a hearing Tuesday to consider 63-year-old Andrew J.

I believe that everyone should be treated fair. If the DNA doesn't match then let the man go. Why deny Mr. Johnson his freedom. If it was your relative or child and their DNA wasn't a match you would want them free. Let him go.
