Lake County Sheriff Department: Serve and Protect

    1. Petition by

They are paid to serve and protect and they are not doing this. A victim of domestic violence contacted them in order to get her child returned home. Deputy Triplett, Deputy Evans, and Corporal Stone refused to get the child, refused to contact the adult who was holding the child against court orders, and refused to accompany the mother so she could safely bring the child home. This mother had to go alone to where the child was being held. While there she was threatened with bodily harm and had a knife pulled on her. Are there not enough domestic violence homicides? Why would these officers not take this seriously? We need to hold these three officers accountable and demand that they do their job.
