The Lolita community has been misunderstood for years, usually mislead by the title of Vladimir Navokov's novel "Lolita". The community has been fighting really hard to make people understand that, no matter the personal idea of what Lolita is (a fashion, a lifestyle, an aesthetics), it is NOT about sexualising women, but completely the opposite, it is about women feeling comfortable with themselves in clothes that make them feel pretty and that do not relate with attracting men. Moreover, Lolita is not about ageplay. It does not try to make young women look like little girls, hence it's not focused on attracting pedophiles. It might make the girls look a bit childish depending on the style, but that is not the point for a lolita.

With the promotional poster in which a girl is shown wearing Lolita clothes, her expression being overtly provocative and teasing, the productor and director are causing a massive harm to the Lolita community, leading people who does not know the movement to think that it's about sex and ruining the hard work that thousands of girls have done during years. Due to this, we ask for the removal of the poster plus a formal apology from both of them.

I must say I'm so shocked by this. I never ever would have imagined to get this huge amount of signatures in less than 24h. Thanks to all of you to make it possible. Some of you sent me private messages saying that what I'm doing it's amazing and saying thank you. It's me who must really say thank you here: you all took your time to fight this battle against what we think it's wrong, a battle for our freedom to dress whatever we want without being judged for it.

I had a nap to have some rest during my all-nighter and just saw the number of signatures had increased in more than 1,000 during that couple of hours. That's amazing! But we're not done with this, so please keep sharing it.

Also, if someone could come to me with true facts about the story of the model, I'd be very thankful. We cannot assert it's true, but just a rumour, until we some some evidences.

Thanks a lot. Stay strong. Love you all.

Wow! I'm really... overwhelmed! It looks like we might reach 1k signatures today? I hope we can make it so they realise what we all can do in less than 24h.

Thank you very much for your promotion in social networks and your experiences and thoughts in the comments. Hopefully this will make people see such a strong community we are despite all the inner drama, but what is important still remains.

      Love you all.

According to this post on Tumblr, the girl that the poster is showing might have been deceived in order to get the photos taken. She would have been said the photos were for a Japanese fashion photoshoot. I'd do deeper research about it and will keep you updated.

Oh my! I'm so happy we reached 200 signatures. I didn't expect to reach that so soon, so thanks a lot and keep sharing it and asking everyone to sign this.

I just emailed the productor so I'll fill you in when they come back to me with any information.

Have a nice day and keep fighting!

Thank you very much to all of you who are signing this and also keeping it runing. Hopefully, it will make them do something about it. Let's keep it going so we can get a lot of signatures. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who strongly disagree with this.

Thanks again! All my love to you all for this.

Lolita fashion doesn't need to be associated with this film or its subject. This is the last thing the Lolita community needs. They are already misunderstood. As someone who wishes to become part of this community, I am disgusted with the director's choice of promotional material, not realizing that he is insulting an entire community. He should have done his research.

Lolita is about modesty, it's not sexual at all.

I am a lolita and we do not dress this way to attract men.

Since when did actual real girls dress like that? Also, leading questions are fallacies.

      I am a lolita myself.
