My friend and her neighbor both lost senior cats early Saturday morning when two at-large Pit Bulls entered Lillian's yard and attacked the outdoor cats who are all rescues. Lillian heard the commotion over the baby monitor she uses to detect problems with her cats and ran out to find the dogs had already killed her elderly cat and the neighbor's cat. Lillian's husband was able to catch the dogs and the police were called. Lillian informed them that she wanted to press charges against the owners, but when she called to see if the owners had been found, she was told that no report had been made and the dogs had been released to their owner. Their reasoning was that "it was only cats" that got hurt. Lillian's Aunt Samantha, and the neighbor's cat Daphne were not "just" cats. They were family members. Justice needs to be done. Please sign this petition calling on the police department to give this case the attention it deserves!

CATS ARE GOD'S CREATURES TOO AND THEY HAVE AS MUCH RIGHT TO LIVE AS ANY OTHER LIVING CREATURE.

People who train their dogs to attack and then let them roam are just sick individuals. I am so sorry for what happened to these lovely and much-loved cats. It makes my heart ache.

Any dog could have killed these cats. Unfortunately, when Pits. are out together they tend to pack and attack. Punish the owner for being irresponsible with his dogs. I'm really sorry that happened to the cats. I rescue and currently have 10 cats with the 5 Pitbulls and 5 other dogs. My cats rub up against my Pits.

It's not the breed, it's the owner.

I would be SO devastated if any of my cats were KILLED by owned dogs and only a head turn was my consolation.
