Former Chillicothe Police Officer Eric McKee served Chillicothe Ohio from 1988 to 2011. As a police officer who served for many years, he was a great asset to our community for his duty, as he protected the citizens and took action against those who broke the law. Unfortunately, he abused those powers and has lost his respect and reputation from the citizens of Chillicothe, those same citizens he protected.
As a leader for Huntington Local schools, he participated in a bible study with students. He then came into contact with one 15 year old girl and he engaged in SEXUAL ACTS with her, not only through innappropriate text messages, but also physically. As a parent, those who are volunteering or working for our schools should be trusted, especially with one who has served duty in law enforcement. We believe the prosecutors who have recommended two years in prison for these horrible acts is NOT ENOUGH. Coming from a parent, it's not justified. Children should be safe in their environments and she was violated in the worst way possible by a man who abused his power.
These multiple acts happened between September 2010 through April 2011, therefore this man knew exactly what he was doing when this occured.
In conclusion, he deserves a longer sentence than two years and he should be sentenced as though the average man in the streets would be if he committed this crime. He does NOT deserve any better treatment than the average person because he is a retired police officer. There are many parents who are questioning their childrens' safety in school because of this, and a 15 year old girl's childhood is ruined because of this man. He had more of an impact than just the girl involved and her family. He has affected the entire community.

This guy not only was a police officer but also a youth pastor. He was someone that should be trust worthy because he is contact with young people. The one person in church that young people go to with problems. Chances are there are other victims, scared of what will happen if they come forward. The truth always comes out. What

Because I have several nieces and nephews in schoolo and u should be able to feel they are safe at school, I also have a 15 yr old son who i protect with everything I have because I know that it doesn't matter anymore how good people make themselves out to be, alot of the time they are just like this man waiting on an opportunity to make his move, I'm so disgusted with the world today.
