Save Micky The Pit Bull's Life

PLEASE sign this petition and help save Micky's life. Micky is the family dog of Michael & Marissa. Michael is an Iraqi War Vet that suffers from physical and emotional complications as a result of his service in Iraq. Marissa suffers from Diabetic seizures. One night during Marissa's pregnancy with their now 6 month old baby, went into a seizure - if it weren't for Micky's persistent barking that awakened Michael, Marissa would have died.
The young couple was placed in this housing complex by The Town Of Oyster Bay Housing Authority that predominantly houses senior citizens. They were told it was only temporary accommodations until an apartment opened up in one of the family housing units - it has been 2 years already. The Housing Authority is in violation for placing the young couple in this complex in the first place yet no one is addressing this issue.
The elderly residents are afraid of Micky because he is a pit mix. Micky has fear issues and will bark or growl when a stranger passes by yet is extremely loving with people he is familiar with. Being a Certified Canine Behavior Specialist and trainer and having evaluated & assessed Micky I have attested to the fact that he is fearful and does need to be socialized better. But due to the fact that every time Michael takes him for a walk the residence are up in arms, therefore Michael has been forced to walk Micky during times when no one is around - all this accomplishes it to create a greater fear for Micky when he does see people. Micky is actually giving off the correct signals when a stranger does approach - he is saying that he is afraid and wants the threat to just leave him alone. Unfortunately the residence continue to yell at him, waive their arms at him and one even swung a 9-iron (golf club) at Michael and Micky during a walk.
This situation went from a hearing to evict the couple because the other residence are afraid of Micky, to having gone to landlord/tenant court. The attorney for the housing authority, Jamie Ezratty, who is undoubtedly looking for his 15 minutes of fame, has moved on a motion to have Micky euthanized! Mickey has NO bite history! They have gone as far as to persuade the occupants to sign affidavits stating that the dog has attacked them, yet there are no police, animal control or hospital reports. They are all claiming emotional damages.
I am asking everyone in the name of justice, to please sign this petition. The prejudice that plagues these beautiful dogs has gotten to the point of down right witch hunts.
PLEASE help me stand up and fight for the rights of Micky and every other pit/pit mix that is unjustly on death row.

Tom Brokaw needs to come interview these old people...he'll get a different opinion of that generation. This man is a vet. He should get more respect from his neighbors.

      Killing is not the answer!

It looks like these old people have no respect for other people, if he walks the dog on a leash there is no problem, this couple is in need of another place to live NOW!!

We must fight against the spirit of unconscious cruelty with which we treat the animals. Animals suffer as much as we do. True humanity does not allow us to impose such sufferings on them. It is our duty to make the whole world recognize it. Until we extend our circle of compassion to all living things, humanity will not find peace. ~Albert Schweitzer, The Philosophy of Civilization
