As Jon Stewart has pointed out repeatedly on his program, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, the commentators and pundits who interview and moderate the seemingly countless Republican Primaries lack both the intestinal fortitude and intellectual acumen necessary to put it to the presidential wanna-be's the way they should. Only someone with Stewart's rapier sharp wit and elastic cunning can expose the true worth or worthlessness of the remaining candidates.

I thought we might not get signatures over the weekend as people got caught up with their busy lives. But that doesn't seem to have mattered. Folks are still signing onto the petition to have a truly talented broadcaster with some serious political acumen lead a debate for the republican candidates. And it makes sense, considering more folks watch Jon Stewart than all of the Fox News casts. And isn't that a comforting thought!

    4. Less than thirty signatures to go and we'll have 200 in less than 24 hours!

That's not an accident. This sort of instant embrace of an idea is because it is a necessary idea. Just take the time to read what some of the signatories wrote. I couldn't put it better than they did. But if you need one more reason then remember that not one of the moderators of these "mainstream" debates has the guts to ask Newt Gingrich how he ever had the brass to persecute Pres. Clinton for Monica Lewinsky when he was "grooming" Calista for her current position.

    5. New York Times outs the coaching of primary in studio audiences.

Here's proof positive that the other primaries are totally scam theater and not really representative of what even the republicans are spontaneously thinking!

JS is is hilarious and also very insisive and serious all at the same time. It would be just fantastic. However, the pic here is wrong: The Newt is out and Dr. Ron Paul is the last man, standing as an alternative to Rombama. I seriously doubt the Romneybot would agree to such a debate - he has more to lose than to gain - but we can try.

Great idea, now that we are down to two candidates for the republican nomination, a debate for the remaining states which are quite a few desire to see these two candidates inform voters how they plan to do what is best for America if elected President.

Oh hell yes. A million times yes. Stewart, do it for the rest of Americans that don't have the public floor like you do, you're our voice, do it. Also, I promise not to have sex during the debate.

Jon Stewart would be more effective, efficient, entertaining, and smarter than those he would be hosting. JON STEWART for President!
