Stop the Silence: Stop Child Sexual Abuse

Join us in Washington, DC on April 19, 2009 for the Sixth Annual Race to Stop the Silence, and help stop child sexual abuse (CSA). CSA is a silent epidemic that critically affects children, adult survivors, and society. There is hardly a greater crime against children. CSA takes away their innocence and trust, and puts them in constant danger, often in places where they should feel most secure. It can be prevented and treated, with your help. Thank you for helping to Stop the Silence!

I was a victim but I am now a survivor.  It's hard but life will get easier with every one's support.  You have to speak out for yourself  & others.  I will be with you in spirit.  Keep up the good work.

Abuse of any kind is wrong!  Sexual abuse among young children is heinous and we can do something to stop it. Sex Abuse Awareness must be taught at the youngest levels.  It is wrong to sexually abuse any child!  Increased awareness must be taught to the parents as well as the children.

To prevent abuse of the vulnerable, who are not always believed and who pay a heavy emotional price.

I know what CSA is all about. As a child I have faced this myself. The humilitation was too much and as I was only 7ys when it first happened, I did not know how to even react and who to tell etc. I never want another kid to go through this. Let stop this.
