Grant Clemency for Wendy Maldonado

    2. Petition by

      Monique Savits

      Parkville, MD

Wendy Maldonado was in this horrifying marriage (or prison) for so long and became a victim of Battered Women’s Syndrome. Living in complete fear, she had one goal in mind, keep her boys safe! Wendy spent years in prison (in her marriage to Aaron) and then went directly into another prison, where she remains. It is time to let her go! She hasn’t known freedom since she was 17 years old. PLEASE reconsider her sentence and let her reunite with her boys.

Please sign this petition if you agree that it is time to set Wendy free!

Touching mom whose love for her children is admirable. Aaron was a monster and Wendy's motherly instincts had enough.

This woman did what she had to do to survive, and to keep her children alive and safe as well. People say she had other options, but no one really knows that. This situation is such a miscarriage of justice. The governor of Oregon should pardon her, and she should be released immediately to return to her family. They have already suffered so much. Do what's right and send her home.

I believe she has served her time. I also don't believe she is a threat to our society.

My mom was physically and emotionally abused, and it negatively affected me and my siblings.
