Make Synchronized Figure Skating an Olympic Event

    1. Petition by

      SynchroSkate

Synchronized Skating is one of the fastest-growing ice sports in the world with over 22 countries from 5 continents competing at the international and world level.

Having been recognized as a World Cup event in 1996, a World Championship event in 2000, and a Winter Universiades event in 2007, the next logical step for this fast-growing, exciting and athletic discipline is the Winter Olympic Games.

It's time for the elite athletes of this discipline to have a chance to compete on the global stage and show their hard work, skill and expertise to the world.

I think it is a beautiful sport. I think it is a great sport with many opportunities. It is also nice to see this be a team sport instead of individual competitors.

I skated on a team and was a coach for one. It's difficult and highly competitive!
