Tanner's is a wonderful boy who is just starting his life. We won't let injustice keep him from it. People need to know what is happening. And so few know right now. We can change this! We love Tanner!

Almost a year ago, I received a phone call from my father. He had called to tell me my brother was dead.

5 1/2 hours later his flatline started to beat and he grabbed my mother's hand.  After a coma and months of physical therapy my family couldn't afford, a different version of my little brother re-emerged.

His brain badly damaged with no short term memory, he had to relearn everything. He tried to grasp what had happened.  From what we had been told he had been in a car crash, on his way to play airsoft with 3 of his friends, and they missed a turn barreling into a ravine.

Two of the boys died in crash.

About Tanner,

In school, he was always drawn to kids who needed a friend. His best friend from 6th grade through high school suffered severely from Cerebral Palsey. Tanner was always there for him, helping him and making sure no one picked on his friend. Tanner is a photographer too. A really good one.

Just a week ago he received an acceptance into a photography academy in our hometown of Casper, Wyoming. Even in his new state, he has consistently been taking beautiful photos and has been noticed!   Three days ago, my Mother received a phone call from the Casper police saying they wanted to take him into questioning concerning the wreck. She brought him in.

He was detained and is in prison awaiting a preliminary hearing Today!

His diagnosed mental state is the equivalent of a 10 to 12 year old. He called my mom at home yesterday: "Mommy, I want to come home." my mother tried to comfort him. "Can you bring me my stuffed animals?"  Do you think this boy should be charged with aggrevated vehicular homicide? Please sign this pettition (it won't sell your info) we need to make this heard!

This is a total miscarriage of Justice There is no justice holding Tanner responsible when no one but God fully understands what happened the minute the accident occurred ! We have all been impulsive and thinking that we are invincible at some point on our lives. I don't know what Tanner was thinking but it wasn't with 'malice and forethought' nor did he ever mean to be driving the car in which two of his friends were killed! This wasn't ever even a momentary thought---look at who Tanner was and what people saw in Him!! He was a protector not a killer!! When a judge rules that Tanner can be held responsible, he needs his head and his ethics examined; and, when the people who have the power to carry this out agree, I look at motives.. It seems that public opinion or a conviction on their record , or just a way to 'close a case' has become more important than the people involved!!! So often justice is the last reason people are convicted--it is usually when the human aspect is not factored in nor what will be served if this is carried out is not explored and not used in the decision to hold someone accountable! Tanner is not the young man today that he was when he was in the accident. God did not perform a miracle so that he would come back to incarceration!! I don't know God's thoughts but His ways are not our ways but one thing I do know is He LOVES to resurrect His children in ways that defy human intervention. God will not allow such a disservice to His miraculous healing of a young man from death be used to harm Tanner or his family. Their very suffering is producing fruit and refining them in a way that is only of God. He does not want man to add to their pain!! They have turned to and continued to glorify God in the midst of this painful circumstance! Punishing Tanner is without a doubt one of the most ludicrous ideas I have ever heard. Justice is not always exactly what the letter of the law demands. That is why Jesus came!! So that the law was not our only option. Forgiveness, mercy, grace, compassion and LOVE(the greatest of these) are to be our motives and then everything else will fall into perfect order. STOP this ridiculous effort in futility and look to God for what needs to be done, if anything more! No one is served by continuing this farce---God does not fools gladly!!!!!

He has suffered enough. His friends have died. He is having to recover from being seriously injured. What will prison teach him?
