Stop the deportation of Leopoldo Serrano Salto to Mexico

    1. Petition by

      Kathryn Forristall

      Overland Park, KS

Update: On Friday, August 31, 2012 Polo was deported back to Mexico. We are in touch with his family and hoping to assist in whatever ways we can. Thank you for your interest in this family and this cause. Your support meant so much to them.

Leopoldo "Polo" has been in the United States for over 18 years . He is an entrepreneur, employs multiple people and has two daughters who are citizens. There is simply no opportunity for someone like him in his native Mexico. Once business success is achieved, extortion is almost certain and family safety is at risk. Polo's wife is in school and petitioning for the Dream Act. He has no criminal record and he is exactly the kind of hungry, honest, hardworking immigrant who came to this country at the turn of the twentieth century. It makes no sense to send someone back who has been working hard for more than 18 years and who will soon see his entire family be citizens.

Please sign the petition, to protect Polo's young daughters and to prevent a family being torn apart.

We ship jobs overseas, and here is somebody who is in America actually creating jobs! We have never been a one-rule-fits-all-country when it comes to situations like this, help this family stay together.

The current immigration system is broken, and serious violations of human rights, like this one, threaten the well being of many citizens and non-citizens living in the United States.
