Please sign this petition in support of Joel Frenette for Resident - 2012

A minor offense from 12 years ago in Canada is preventing me from becoming a permanent resident of the United States.

Even though I am married to an American, I live in the USA, had been working full-time as a computer systems support professional, my young son has his permanent resident status, I volunteer at my local church among other charities and fundraisers, I have numerous letters of support from our congressman, many local business owners and community leaders, I alone will be deported to Canada.

This will tear the family unit apart and be a financial disaster. It is already causing tremendous hardships and stress on my wife. Is this the American dream?

I believe that all humans will make a mistake, as that is why we are HUMAN! While making amends, by volunteering in the community to make it a better place for the next generation, should speak volumes for who we have become. I truly believe we all should be able to be given a second chance.

This happen 12 years ago, he should be given the chance to prove he's no longer like that and changed since then. He is a good friend and when he was living in canada he was either working or spending time with his little boy.

Our country needs productive members such as Joel. A minor offense should be waived.
