I Support Transgender Student Kasey Caron's Run for Homecoming King

    1. Petition by

      Transgender Law Center

The Richland School Board in western Pennsylvania has ruled that Kasey Caron, a transgender student who has the support of friends and family, is not allowed to run for Homecoming King.

We believe that all students, including transgender students, should be able to fully participate in school as their authentic selves.

Richland School Board should follow the supportive example set by Marina High School in Huntingon Bech California, where recently Cassidy Lynn Campbell became the school's first transgender Homecoming Queen.

To:
Richland School District
Every student should have a fair chance to succeed and thrive at school as their authentic self. Please allow Kasey Caron to run for Homecoming King.

Sincerely,
[Your name]

I applaud Kasey Caron for his courage. High school is a difficult time for all kids, and even more stressful when you are forced by society to stand out as "different"... Mr. Caron deserves the right to run for Homecoming King just as much as all the other boys do!
