I am rising on February 14th!

    1. Petition by

      One Billion Rising

Today, on the planet, a billion women – one of every three women on the planet – will be raped or beaten in her lifetime. That’s ONE BILLION mothers, daughters, sisters, partners, and friends violated. We REFUSE to stand by as more than a billion women experience violence.

ONE BILLION WOMEN VIOLATED IS AN ATROCITY

BUT ONE BILLION RISING AGAINST SUCH VIOLENCE IS A REVOLUTION!

On February 14th, 2013, we are inviting one billion women and those who love them to walk out, DANCE, RISE UP, AND DEMAND an end to this violence. One Billion Rising is a promise that we will rise up with women and men worldwide to say, "Enough! The violence ends now."

No one should be abused in any manner by anyone, anywhere. Especially Women.

We are not less than Men. We are their Equals and deserve the respect and courtesy they would expect from others. To be used as a sexual toy as a means of showing strength is an insult to all the Women in that Man's life. The Mother that gave him life, the Grandmother who taught him many wise things, The Sisters who supported him as he grew, The Wife he took as the Mother of his own Children and his Lifemate. All the Female friends and associates he works with. ALL DESERVE RESPECT! Not sexual abuse.
