It's helped in costumes and promoting the shows using articles. It's helped HBO if anything.

HBO has nothing to gain from this and just punishes the fans who use the site for their costuming.

I am a costumer and these photos are so important to my ability to reproduce accurate costumes for myself and friends who do love costuming.

This site is one of the main things I use for reference shots in order to cosplay the great costumes found in this show. I own the dvds but it is much easier to just look through the folders to find the ones I need. Please don't take this from us cosplayers as we are big fans of your show!

HBO seems to have a hard time understanding that the screencaps from this site are used to help generate FREE publicity for their shows and boost viewers. Instead of seeing the benefit in this, they continually take aggressive action that has actually turned many people away from them as a company. With absolutely no monetary gain coming from these screencaps, HBO should be thanking instead of condemning every site that has a picture or video they didn't directly purchase from HBO. It would be in this company's best interest to step aside and let screen cap sites like this one be.
Come on, guys. You're going to slap a DMCA claim on ONE site out of HUNDREDS for hosting screen captures?! It's not like they're hosting downloads of your episodes! Drop the claim so I can get my favorite screencap gallery back! How do you think we fan artists make those amazing arts that you KNOW you love. Get real and drop the suit, PLEASE.
This is free promotion and HBO is acting like a bully. The people who run this site make no profit and provide a service to fellow fans sheerly for the fun of it. This is an abuse of DMCA and HBO needs to stop acting like bullies.
Please DCMA - do not take the site down. We only use the screencaps for fan art and entertainment purposes; to share our love for the various characters/scenes/etc with others who love them also...harmless. No copyright infringement is intended at all. Please just leave the site be.
It's important to me because this site has the best screen caps along with another site that I also visit. The DMCA need to mind their own business. They should only butt in when someone is pirating the actual show itself, not screen capping it! Besides, Game of Thrones is the most pirated show out there, and I don't see DMCA butting in there. I know they own Game of Thrones and True Blood, but enough is enough! The f**king DCMA is getting ridiculous! You may own these two shows, which I don't even watch, but you don't own the internet! Someone needs to put the DMCA in their damn place!
