It's unfair to users who have stayed with Verizon Wireless to have to pay $30 extra to upgrade our phones when we become eligible for an upgrade.

      We should not all be forced to pay $30 to help cover the cost of the Verizon "experts". I know how to transfer my own contacts over to a new phone. I can activate my own phone online without Verizon's assistance. I also can transfer my ringtones from one phone to another, as well as create my own ringtones for free! I don't use ANY of your "expert" services, so don't charge me for them! I've never used any "workshop", "online education tools", and I highly doubt ANY Verizon rep qualifies as an "expert consultant". The last time I was in your retail store browsing phones, two of your "expert consultant Verizon reps" didn't even know how to put a memory card in one of the customer's phones. I showed the customer myself how to do it. I've fixed stuff on my friends' and families' phones that Verizon told them was un-fixable. They already charge out the wazoo for their services, now they want to charge me MORE for the privilege to get a new phone, on top of the cost of the phone itself? I don't think so Verizon! I will not be upgrading my phone until this ridiculous charge is done away with! I am also looking for other cell phone providers for my needs. All these extra charges for no better service is getting ridiculous!

      I do NOT use any of the "services" VZW claims this fee funds. For those that do...fine, I can see calling this a "support plan" or something of that nature. For those of us that haven't gone into a VZW store for anything in the last 10 years because we're smart enough to figure things out on our own and order our phones online, this fee should not apply.

      Upgrade fees, wth? We already pay for the phone, if we don't upgrade, then that's reason to look at other carriers or even prepay... rather than encourage the upgrade and stay with vzw

      My family has been a Verizon Wireless customer for over a decade. Adding Yet One More Fee is going to be the straw that broke the camel's back. No reason to stick around if Verizon's going to continue nickel-and-diming with more and more fees.

      I don't see why we get discounts for upgrading if we are being charged for upgrading.
