Helpless Asian Student Attacked and Jumped

    1. Petition by

      National Youth Association .

On January 16, 2012 a student in Chicago was bullied and severely beaten by seven students. The video is horrific and hard to watch.

It shows the six teens mercilessly beating and tormenting an Asian man while one of them films. They steal his money, shoes, and backpack. They throw sucker punches and kick him while he is down, laughing and saying things like  “Am I speaking Chinese to you, nigga?”

This example of extreme violence and bullying cannot be tolerated in the city of Chicago. These young criminals must be held accountable for their actions and steps should be taken to educate young people about the dangers of bullying.

Please join us in calling on the Chicago Police Department to arrest and charge all seven students involved with the beating and for their schools to hold them accountable. We're also asking that Chicago Public Schools establish an anti-bullying course that all seven students attend before being allowed back to school.

The attackers in the video are:

WESLEY WU
EASLEY WU
RAYMOND PALOMINO
TODD RAMOS
JOHNNY LI
DANNY HUI

CHICAGO — Seven teenagers were arrested Wednesday in the beating and robbery of a 17-year-old Chicago high school student that was filmed and posted online, city police said.

One of the teens was charged as an adult and the rest — a 15-year-old girl, two 16-year-old boys and three 15-year-old boys — were cited in juvenile delinquency petitions. All were charged with one count each of robbery and aggravated battery, police spokesman Mike Sullivan said.

I would die inside to know or even fathom my child or a child close to me going through this. I recall getting bullied as a child - the scars are forever. Without appropriate consequences to these young criminals, this boy will never be able to be the student he wanted to be. The parents should be truly ashamed.

It was clear those kids were ruthless and "Todd Ramos" even displayed his face. I think its clear these kids should be arrested for battery. Probably should seek some type of therapy as well.

I don't think this is right, especially that it was all of them against this kid.
