After seeing the report on Anderson Cooper 360 my heart broke thinking about all the dogs that are just left to die in the hot zone around the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan. Even though the whole area is devastated I feel that something should be done to help the animals that have been abandoned and left to die. If you agree with this please sign the petition to have the Japanese government allow someone or some organization to go in and rescue all the animals that have just been left to die!

‎"Please, please, I implore you to allow the pet rescue folks to enter the exclusion zone now to relieve suffering of your citizen's animals by feeding, watering, and rescuing them! It is my understanding that they have the means to decontaminate the animals and facilities to hold them during their quarantine period. They only need your approval.

Please help your people by allowing the rescuers into the exclusion zone before it is too late!

If the Japanese people are anything like my family and other Americans I know, we could handle loss of property, but not our government condemning our beloved animals to starve to death or die of thirst.

      Thank you!"

It is about time that the Japanese government is also giving help to the abandoned animals who are starving and in desperate need of food, water and medical attention.

I really hope me signing these petitions make a difference because I lose lots of sleep over stuff like this. There are so many tragic things like this going on in this world and Ive always felt terrible and helpless when it comes down to it,because I know its goin on and I can send money to different organizations but, still feel I wish I could hug and love everysingle last one of these animals and more going through life scared and sick and starving....It breaks my heart truly so this does help me to know at least there are petitions and other people who feel like I do .

The basic issue is simple: "The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But, can they suffer?" (Jeremy Bentham, philosopher and animal rights activist; 1748-1832.)
