This rare disorder is Named Trigeminal Neuralgia and caused by my Brother's honorable Service Flying in the Navy. The VA in Vermont has not helped his condition for over 12 years. There is an MVD operation that can be performed and it totally cures approximately 85% of the patients, although the VA does not have the expertise. Private hospitals do these operations, but the VA will not authorize the expense. Pure TORTURE for him and he desperately needs your assistance!! Sign this petition and contact your Senator or the VA. He is an honorably discharged veteran with a service connected disability. This started from an aircraft fire on takeoff in Japan and the VA has abandoned him.

If you want to research this dreadful disorder, just put the words "Suicide Disease" in your browsers search  box and see how this disorder comes up. Some who cannot stand the physical and emotional turmoil just check out early rather than suffer as if tortured with pain all the time. It takes a drastic toll on a person and my brother needs help asap.

Being disabled should not mean being disqualified from having access to every aspect of life."

      -- Emma Thompson

"The more I read and the more I talked to other parents of children with disabilities and normal children, the more I found that feelings and emotions about children are very much the same in all families. The accident of illness or disability serves only to intensify feelings and emotions, not to change them."

      -- Judith Weatherly

“Acceptance of one's life has nothing to do with resignation; it does not mean running away from the struggle. On the contrary, it means accepting it as it comes, with all the handicaps of heredity, of suffering, of psychological complexes and injustices.”

      -- Dr. Paul Tournier

This disorder, which I have, is beyond description. There are no words to describe the pain one suffers. To best experience it, take a live wire and place it inside your mouth. Try then to wash, brush your teeth, do the dishes, or read your child a bedtime story. You'll get an iota of an idea of what this man is suffering. There's too much documentation out there on this disorder for him to be denied. It's cruel and unusual punishment that he's denied. May God have mercy. Carole Scarborough

because this person is a citizen of a country that wants to bring democracy to 'underdeveloped' countries, In my opinion a country must be able to help its own veterans before helping elsewhere.

I am a Marine vet and feel the government uses us up when they need us and then when we come home we are spit on and our needs are ignored. I came home after serving during the Vietnam war and was called a baby killer.
