Much controversy surrounded the race for mayor in Hattiesburg, Miss., between Dave Ware and Johnny Dupree, which resulted in Dupree begin declared the winner by 37 votes. Evidence indicates there was extensive election misconduct, and that Ware is the people's choice.  In court, Ware was found to be the rightful mayor- but then juror intimidation and a public poll resulted in a mistrial.  Help us ask our state and local leaders to put in the people's mayor in his rightful elected office, or move forward with a whole new election.

To:
We demand that the people's mayor be allowed to take his rightful place in office, or that they city move forward with a whole new election for Mayor of Hattiesburg.

Sincerely,
[Your name]

After nearly 36 hours of counting votes, verifying affidavit ballots, and inquiring about an unlocked front door at city hall after hours, Johnny DuPree came out on top in his bid for a fourth term. DuPree defeated challenger Dave Ware by 37 votes, but the race appears to be far from over.

This race was a joke. We need to redo the whole thing and have the polls monitored so that only valid votes are cast.
