Grant Marriage Equality in New Jersey

The United States of America takes great pride in the Declaration of Independence that declares and seeks to secure life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to all, without discrimination. We are asking you to stand by this, to stand by freedom, and to recognize that marriage equality is a right, not a privilege. If a right is given to one group of people, it must be given to all. This is not a religious battle and it cannot become one; that is exactly why we are ensured separation of church and state. This isn't about religion, this is about civil rights.  The time is now for this to be remedied!

Everybody has a right to be happy. Nobody should be discriminated because of who the heart chooses to love.

Equality and civil rights are for everyone. Marriage equality is a right that must be supported by law.

I'm hoping that when I move back to NJ in 4 years, that it will recognize marriage equality. Two consenting adults should have the right to marry regardless of gender. It's as simple as that.

NO ONE Should be denied the right to love just because of the preference of gender, NO ONE SHOULD Be denied the right to happiness because of their love of the same gender, NO ONE Should be denied a right to the honor of marriage, all people should be given that universal right to marriage, we cannot sit by and continue to deny those who are different from us marriage. As a citizen of this land that I love so much and treasure, I implore the people who we have elected to office in our nation's capital to repeal the DOMA law and bring forth rights for those who want to get married for sure, every single person should be given the honor of marriage no matter what! Our friends in the LGBTQ Community should have this right as well, and it is time to stop being in fear and start living in love and equality and unity! This fear must end once and for all! I have friends who are of the LGBTQ Community and they are in tears because they cannot get married and It has broken my heart sincerely, and I am tired of the prejudice. The time is now to continue the fight for civil rights and bring rights to our friends in the LGBTQ Community, ESPECIALLY THE RIGHT TO MARRIAGE!

Please for the sake of history and for the sake of our future generation, BRING MARRIAGE EQUALITY NOT JUST FOR THE GARDEN STATE BUT for our country and for every single nation on earth! That is why I am supporting marriage equality, because every single person, not just a few people, but every single person deserves the right to get married and to have a blessed life of love, virtue, and hope for the next generation!
