The public has forgotten about the secret society of the families, wives, and children who suffer alongside with their loved one incarcerated. By restoring family visits for lifers, it will allow the inmate to have something to look forward to; their hope. These family visits allow time for bonding of relationships and strengthening of family ties. Some of these families may never have their loved one home again, so why not allow them a chance to make every memory of what possibility has left?
If restoring family visits for lifers are not considered, there are a few key points that should be re-evaluated: 1) Some of these wives that have been committed in what's left of their marriage will never have a chance to experience motherhood; they will continue to feel the loneliness and cope with the isolation 2) Some of the kids will grow up not knowing or remembering their dads 3) Some of these inmates will continue their life sentences forgetting the feeling of belonging and the importance of the love of family.
