SHANE and TOM'S STORY: "IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU"

"It has been said that sharing personal stories is one of the most effective ways to change people's hearts and minds. This is my story and I hope you are inspired to share it with others."

(Shane Bitney Crone)

I do not know Shane but I know his pain and I feel compelled to promote his message. In 44 states of the USA, same-sex couples like Shane and Tom are denied the right to MARRY. In the states where they can marry, the federal government does not recognize these marriages because of the Defense of Marriage Act. This discrimination causes unimaginable pain & suffering to MILLIONS of people - there are thousands of stories like Shane and Tom's. This discrimination must end. Please watch this video and sign your name to express support for national marriage equality.

I am legally married and heterosexual and therefore have the protections of marriage; however, I really feel for gays and lesbians who cannot codify their relationships or get respect from their families or the legal system. This story was really sad. I pray that Shane will experience happiness in a relationship again when he is ready.

We should all be equal and have the same rights. Who is anyone to say who should be allowed to marry whom? Its discrimination and its cruel and outdated.
