This petition was created to stop the execution of S. Balwant Singh Rajoana, who was indicted in the murder of Beant Singh (Chief Minister, Punjab, India). Beant Singh was widely held responsible by many Sikhs for ordering the kidnap, torture and death of many young Sikhs. A report on this by Amnesty International can be found here: http://www.amnesty.org/en/library/asset/ASA20/008/1995/en/9ff4a8a6-eb5d-11dd-9173-571c5dd871b8/asa200081995en.html. Some accounts of these actions by Punjab Government/Police can be seen here: http://www.disappearances.org/news/mainfile.php/articles_india/26/. Being a devout Sikh, S. Rajoana took the pledge to avenge the atrocities committed by Beant Singh on the general Sikh population. This was accomplished on August 31, 1995. As the court verdict states, S. Rajoana is to be hanged till dead on March 31, 2012. Bhai Sahib accepted the sentence without protest, identifying a lack of faith in the Indian judicial system and accusing Indian courts for applying dual standards of law. The Indian judicial system is one that has continued to protect the culprits of the mass killings of Sikhs (ref: 1984). He has refused to file a mercy plea because he doesn't want to beg for his life. Instead, he requested to be hanged ASAP and requested that his eyes be donated to Bhai Lakhwinder Singh, a blind Raagi (hymn singer) at Sri Harmandir Sahib (The Golden Temple). He also proposed to donate the rest of his organs to anyone in need. (An english translation of his living will can be viewed at http://worldsikhnews.com/2%20July%202008/Balwant%20Singhrajoana%20shames%20death%20sentence.htm ).This petition is hereby being filed on behalf of S. Rajoana to review his case and re-analyze the verdict.

All of the indian government is corrupt, there is no such as equality anymore.

If someone else does the same crime they get a different punishment to another, where's the equality there?

Balwant singh Rajoana saved millions of lives which could have been lost due to a monster like Beant singh who was responsible for the rapes and brutual killing of thousands.

Balwant singh has already served 17 years more than the life prisonment which is only 14 years and now should be released.

If the indian governement wanted to hang him why not review his case 3 years ago when he had finished his life prision sentence, why now?

Injustice to sikhs still happens today and this is one way it is being shown. Countless number of sikhs are in jail, being tortured and falsely accused of crimes.

Even today sikhs were told to quietly protest and sit down by the police and were then shot and attacked by the police, who are also sikhs and attacking their own brothers and sisters.

Dastaars of sikhs are being burnt which shows the stupidy of some people and how low they can fall.

By killing one brave sikh, a thousand more are being born.

Balwant singh should not be hung.

Balwant Singh Rajoana did Sikhs justice by helping to kill Beant Singh. Beant killed thousands upon thousands of Sikhs but walked around India free. What about the families of those he killed don't they deserve justice. Balwant Singh Rajona should be freed he has served his time. The killers of Rajiv Gandhi are still on death row why not hang them its because they are not Sikh.
