Regardless of what you think about "Stand your Ground" laws it's obvious that an injustice has been done in the case of Marissa Alexander. 20 years for a warning shot. what type of system do we live in where Marissa would have been better off if she had shot her boyfriend? I know some want to repeal the "Stand your Ground" law in Florida but that wont immediatly help Marissa.

One thing that will is a pardon from Florida Gov. Rick Scott. He has the power to pardon her and correct this injustice. Please sign the petition and add your voice to mine in asking Gov. Rick Scott to pardon Marissa Alexander.

Rick Scott, Governor of Florida
Pardon Marissa Alexander

Because I feel the Justice department is wrong and things need to change we need to come together as one to get our justice system right the people that needs to be charged and lock up go free its really sad it happens this way and she was protecting herself she needs to be free it sad she lose her freedom over someone kicking her butt the criminal system needs a big clean up like ASAP we all need to stand together as one to help get Justice done

Because this is yet another example of the stupidity the legal system is too often guilty of. The state of Florida is guilty of a far greater crime in holding this woman prisoner for protecting herself in the most effective and non-lethal manner she could...than the one they stupidly convicted her of!
