On July 3, 2012, Google announced that, among other services, iGoogle will be shut down on November 1, 2013. It would be a shame to see this service die.

Countless users rely on iGoogle every day. Not only is it an extremely useful homepage, it offers quick access to Gmail messages, headlines from Google News and other top news sources, weather forecasts, stock quotes, movie showtimes, bookmarks, and many, many more useful features.

Please, Google, do the right thing and keep iGoogle alive!

As a homeschooling mother, I use iGoogle for the sake of convenience and the ability to customize ; that way I can limit my distractions when I need to use the web during the school day. I switched to Google when it first became available and I have had Gmail since beta. I have convinced die hard users of other web platforms to give Chromium a try. I use iGoogle daily and need my gadgets, especially my religious ones. Are you at Google planing to convert all of the gadgets into apps? As it stands right now the apps that are useful to me are few and far between in my homeschooling day. However my iGoogle page is organized that I may at a glance read about a Saint, then look at the days headlines and incorperate them into a civics lesson, and use the weather gadget in a science lesson most of the time without leaving the page. Keep the sun shining on iGoogle, please.

Igoogle is important to me because it makes it easier to search what you want, yahoo also does that but,it's more difficult to find information and sometimes you don't find what you want , igoogle also has arrows in the side to different websites and you don't have to go the website but,you get a preview of what the page has which is way easier than clicking on different websites and getting out of them until you find what you want it takes way to long and igoogle makes life just easier you can search and find websites and info you need way easier.

I use it daily as my source for everything. Horoscopes, daylight counters, timers, clocks, and my news feeds wouldn't be the same without iGoogle.
