Give the youth the rights for justice against bullies!

      Englewood, NJ

The youth of America have always gone to school to follow the three "R's": Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic, all the things that make going to school very important.

Lately, there has been a growing pandemic that has become a frightening trend: The fear of being harassed, harmed or worse by bullies in public schools. The recent tragic events of youth committing suicide due to the harassment by bullies and a even MORE disturbing new trend... cyberbullying.

The youth of america are tired of living their life in fear and it is time to give them a voice to stand up against bullying without the usage of violence. Recently a alarming statistic showed that  of the youth who are bullied are that of physically and mentally challenged, here is more statistics that are truly heartbreaking:

1 out of 4 kids is Bullied
9 out of 10 LGBT students experienced harassment at school
Child and teen Bullying and Cyberbullying are at an all-time high
Some kids are so tormented that suicide has become an alternative for them

As many as 160,000 students may stay home on any given day because they’re afraid of their bullies and/or they just can’t take the pain anymore

43% fear harassment in the bathroom at school
A poll of teens ages 12-17 proved that they think violence increased at their schools
282,000 students are physically attacked in secondary schools each month
More youth violence occurs on school grounds as opposed to on the way to school

(Source: Stompoutbullying.org)

THESE STATISTICS must end and the silence about this must end here and now!

We, the youth of america are now asking all, to join us to call upon our congress and senate to support a national anti-bullying legislation law to give students, a voice in the world.

An national law to make bullying of any kind illegal would be a historic breakthrough. We, the youth of this country are suggesting that the laws be put into action that would absolutely guarantee that the person causing the bullying would be tried in a student court based upon the codes that would be established across the country. It is also a time to RE-ASSURE that all children 17 years of age and over to know that If the crime is more severe, they would be tried in adult court. And to give those who are the victims of bullies a chance to have a voice to stand up and be heard!

We, the youth of the united states of america, being tired of the harm, harassment and mistreatment by bullies based on gender, sexual preference, nationalities,  faith, and more, hereby ask the U.S. House of Representitives to PLEASE make a REAL OFFICIAL NATIONAL Law against bullying and to give the judicial power to the student to try the bullies in a student court of law as well and if they are found guilty, face the penalties according to the school codes.

    1. A SUPREME APPEAL to you all for TOTAL AND absolute CHANGE!

      Christopher Gagliardi
      Petition Organizer

      My Dearest Friends,

Never before in my life, I have ever written a letter of the most supreme importance. I always have written to express my appreciation and still do for your undeniable support for this campaign. But now, I never before have written to you on such a situation that calls for ALL OF US to come together and rally to the aid of all who are the silent survivors of this nightmare. And this letter, with my feelings, will explain why I need your Ultimate supreme support now more than I have ever asked for in history. I have never been so upset in regards to such a horrendous matter, but now is the time we need to stand up for all who have suffered in silence because of such a horrible situation like this. I am a person with autism and I have been subjected to name calling and more, but never ever in my life, as a 33 yr old person, who is fighting for change and protection for all those who have physical or mental challenges, have never seen such atrocity like this and this is why I am trying to make bullying/bullycide a criminal offense. I ask you read this letter sincerely and that you take the time to think about why I am doing this.

As some of you already know or some of you do not know, this summer, a good cause was done in the name of helping to find a cure for ALS, commonly known as Lou Gerhig's Disease, and many have done positive videos to make this call for a cure needed, I did the challenge with my friends and family with me. It was the #Icebucketchallenge.

But...on September 3rd, the most appalling and heartless usage of this challenge was done to someone and in the words of one citizen in a town called Bay Village, Ohio called it "Horrifying" and "Disturbing".

A young autistic teen thought he was taking the ice bucket challenge and was really looking forward to it. However, what he wasn't aware of, was that older teens were preparing to dump a bucket, filled with disgusting items that would do harm to a person. The mother said in the interview which got to me this quote: "He was embarrassed because he did not know what the contents were until afterwards and then he didn’t want anybody to know,” “They used his phone to tape it and they put it up on Instagram.” (Source: Fox8.com)

This is the most reprehensible crime I have ever seen as a advocate for the physically and mentally challenge, and I never would imagine something that low being done to a fellow human being, and this makes me angry beyond words. That is another reason why I am trying to make bullying and bully-cide a criminal offense, so something like this can never ever happen again to someone else regardless of gender preference, religion, challenge, etc.

I cannot help by cry sincerely and cry out to all of you for your ABSOLUTE and SUPREME help to make this mission a historic success so we can get the message to the congress, senate, etc. and say: "Bullying isn't just a phase anymore, bullying not only hurts, but can take a life!"

As of today, over 1,270 signed my petition, a total of nearly 40 SIGNATURES in the last almost 48-72 hours, WHICH is the most extraordinary i have ever seen, but my goal is to get 1 BILLION Signatures to give the most precious treasure of our earth, our youth, a voice in school so they can stand up against bullies who taunt, tease, and worse, due to preference of gender, etc. these youth need us now more than ever, I plead with all, whoever reads this, from the depths of their life, to come to my petition and SINCERELY take a stand with me NOW MORE THAN I HAVE ever before ask of you. PLEASE tell the people about the petition, tell the press too, this must be heard.

So on behalf of not only me, and all those who you have already helped , and to all those who you will help even more now than ever, I cannot thank you enough from the bottom of my heart for your unyielding support now more than ever before. Let's really stand up and fight for change with this petition for all!

      Very Sincerely yours,

Our hearts and our prayers go to the 12 lives that were lost in the horrific massacre on Late thursday/Early friday morning in Aurora, Colorado, we will never forget the faces and names of the innocent who's lives were taken in such senseless violence. 11. Commemorating a movement, 43 years ago today

      Christopher Gagliardi
      Petition Organizer

On June 28th, 1969, 43 years ago today at a place called "The stonewall inn" in Greenwhich village in NYC, a movement began for equality, for justice, for hope, for all who in the LGBTQ community to speak out and stand up and be heard in the world.

On that day a message began: "We deserve rights, we want the same fundamental AND Universal rights as everyone else, we want equality, justice, and to be accepted!"

Now 43 years later, as a result of this spark that began the movement, today more people are standing up for rights for the LGBTQ community, marriage equality, universal acceptance and love. We have still a issue that needs to be addressed, and that is the protection of rights for our youth. these will be the days that you can help us make history this weekend by promoting "The people's petition" to tell our national leaders to make bullying and bully-cide (which is suicide due to in part by bullying or any way, shape or form) a criminal offense. Help me make history!

    12. First super friday ever!!

      Christopher Gagliardi
      Petition Organizer

Good morning everyone, today is "SUPER FRIDAY", this is the day that you can help us make history this weekend by promoting "The people's petition" to tell our national leaders to make bullying and bully-cide (which is suicide due to in part by bullying or any way, shape or form) a criminal offense. In 3 weeks since we showed the film "Bully" at Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey over 56 people signed the petition at change.org and more importantly helped us surpass the 700 mark to help us reach 752, well done, but this weekend can be of historical significance. Will you help me in my mission today and this weekend? Will you be "On the trail of change and making a difference and doing something different" like my friend Mr. Greg Mocker and stand up for our youth? Thank you all so very very very much for this historical day. I look forward to hear your reports today.

      Statement from Christopher C. Gagliardi:

The decision to give Mr. Ravi, 30 days of prison time was actually a blow of all who have been fighting so hard and for so long to make bullying illegal and this today is clear evidence that we need to do more to call for our leaders to say enough is enough. As a advocate, i will double the efforts to make bullying a criminal act so that Mr. Clementi's name will NOT be in vain at all. This action will not go without solemn protest and more.
