Since coming to the UK Starbucks has paid just 0.003% in tax [1]

It's time for the Chancellor to wake up and smell the coffee…and make sure Starbucks pays a fair tax!

Sign this petition if you want to see Starbucks pay a fair amount of tax in the UK - tax that goes towards paying for our essential services like schools, hospitals, pensions and police!

[1] Starbucks has paid just £8.3m in tax since coming to the UK in 1998, that’s despite sales of more than £3bn in that period.

The cuts are not necessary. The government is making a political choice to slash public services and sell what's left to private companies, rather than clamp down on tax avoidance by companies like Starbucks. This only benefits a rich minority. Let's take action and show there are alternatives to the cuts.

Annually I fill in my self assessment and pay my dues to the HMRC. It is abhorrent that large companies can get away without paying tax. The HMRC should be ashamed of themselves and embrace a just world where large companies pay tax like the rest of us.

Our government needs money and corporation taxation should form a significant amount of it, not from middle class' hard-earned money.

I think it's scandalous that hardworking people are being taxed to the hilt whilst Starbucks are found guilty of tax avoidance in the UK. I have no option as to how much tax I pay, so why should Starbucks have any? Maybe if they obeyed the law and paid their taxes that petrol and diesel for running our cars would be more reasonably priced (i.e 80p/litre)!
