In the interest of fair government and to ensure the integrity of the City Council, I am seeking your support to encourage the Mayor and City Council to bring to vote a change in Geneva’s Liquor Ordinance to allow Geneva Restaurant Liquor Licensees to hold public office as defined in the State of Illinois statute.

If you agree with this change, please sign this petition and forward it to your friend and neighbors.

A business owner would be an ideal candidate...totally committed to the success of the ward.

I believe that any job could cause you to be in a position to have to recuse youself for certain votes. Let the voters decide.

Because I think it is silly to discriminate against a potentially good candidate just because he or she is a restauranteur with a liquor license.
