On May 10,2012 a child jumped over my fence to play with my dog and he was strached by DK in the process. The child was aware of the dangers of being in my yard due to the size of the dog and how playful he is. DK would never hurt any animal nor human for that matter. The said part about this case is the mother of the child is trying to say that my 7 year old son told DK to attack her child while playing a game and this is not true. All over America these dogs are being label as being aggressive and that is not always the case. I know that it is how the owner treats them and so on. But as a mother and active member of my church and community I would never want someone to be hurt by any animal. But when cross over someone fence and you are in the wrong for violating someone elses property that is not fair to blame that person. Animal control would like to label my dog as being aggressive and put him down and he is a part of our family just like my other three children. This has to stop people need to know there is always more than one side to a story and this child has no bounderies and is able to roam the streets when he want to. Let's be parents and be respondsible for our kids and teach them right from wrong.

No legimate reason to put down DK, he was clearly in his yard. We need to stand up for somethings so people can see we aint playing no more.

I have a dog that is a big boy ( a Great Dane, bulldog mix) who was abused that could be just as easily misunderstood if placed in the same kind of situation by careless people that know nothing about how to behave around a dog and do not teach their children about this important issue. If that were the case, I would hope people would support us in our fight for his life, too.

Because i Dont feel that its right , or them to punish the Dog if he wasnt in the wronf . i feel as if an Adult wouldve did the samething by going near the dog , he wouldve did the samething played , Cuase thats what Dogs Do . But by her being A little girl , she probably was just scared .

We have owned Pit Bulls and American Bully's for 18 years. It is WRONG for profile a breed based solely on the breed it-self. This is no different then targeting people based only on their race. DK did Nothing Wrong. DK did not cross over his fence to go where the child was. The Child went to DK, knowing he is a large dog. Since when does a scratch constitute a viscous attack? Rather then this parent accusing a loving dog of being viscous - shouldn't the parent be watching their child and teaching this child not to go on other people's property? FREE DK and STOP the breed profiling!
