On December 7th, Buffalo Police officers bravely and without hesitation crossed the blue line, locking up Shannon Richardson, a Buffalo Officer, on numerous charges including training dogs for dog-fighting and Aggravated Cruelty to Animals. Buffalo Police charged him with 8 felonies. The case is STRONG, as Buffalo Police did an excellent job investigating and seizing evidence. After charges were filed, Richardson STOLE this little angel back from the Buffalo shelter. Despite strong evidence, Erie County DA Frank Sedita declined to prosecute Richardson for the crime.

Instead, Sedita, nicknamed by law enforcement as the plea fairy, reduced all 8 felony charges to misdemeanors. Richardson is scheduled for court next on March 11th, at 9:30 am. Sedita is offering Richardson a misdemeanor plea. Instead of jail, he will be allowed to keep his job as an officer.

Please help us prevent this travesty of justice.

Because pit bulls do not deserve to be used for breeding and fighting. Plus no cop should be allowed to get away with what he did and not loose his job or do jail time
