On Feb. 17th of this year, Fox news did a report on the University of Missouri recognizing Pagan and Wiccan holidays. While the school is trying to honor cultural diversity as well as the diversity of various religions, the news is making fun of it. The news cast says there are 20 holidays being recognized saying that it has the most holidays... I just looked it up... there are 11 Christian holidays, 45 Catholic holidays, 21 Jewish holidays, but yet only 8 for Pagan and Wiccans. Also a comment was made about Halloween being a holiday... Halloween is a commercialized holiday; where the actual Pagan holiday is known as Samhain... For many Pagan and Wiccan traditions, Samhain is a time to reconnect with our ancestors, and honor those who have died. This is the time when the veil between our world and the spirit realm is thin, so it's the perfect time of year to make contact with the dead.

I am among many that are greatly offended by the lack of research that was done by a supposed professional source and the way that the comments were said.

Please sign this petition to encourage this news group to right the way they wronged us, and learn from their mistakes...

Thank you to all that sign.

As a male wiccan, I am proud of my faith and feel no shame in being my own person. No one should tell anyone else what religion they can or cannot follow in the U.S. We are the greatest country for the diversity in culture and in freedom for a reason! Blessed Be!

I think it's not right. They are connecting us with Satan(Lucifer),they say we worship devil. Our religion is something beautiful,we love Earth and universe.I'm very offended,I believe that you are too.I think they should stop talking sh*t about us,instead to find out something true about us.

Fox News has a record of offending religious beliefs that do not follow their faith. I believe that the company itself should not only apologize to those of us of Pagan and Wiccan beliefs but should apologize to all those they have pointed out in the past. It is time that the company, Fox News, learned that their intolerance and ignorance will no longer be allowed to stand. Fox News needs to re-train their employees or fine new employees. Religious racism, any racism should not be permitted on National TV. Ever. Fox News, you should be ashamed.

Being a Heriderity Witch, taught by my Grandmother from Sweden since I was a toddler. I remember all the majikal ways of Nature. The wonder she taught me of healing. Then after her passing I was sent to Church, A Man yelling at me about a Devil & how we're going to Hell!!! I didn't understand, I felt no "Love" noone cared about the world. It was more about being in Fashion, wearing the right dress & head covering & Who could sing the best...They called me a lazy suprano in choir. Spoke of a man, Jesus that preformed majik, like turning water into wine, raising a man from the dead, So I studied the Bible and learned it well, So if Fox wants to contine their "UnEDucated" Rudeness Beware ! The US Gov't has acknowledged Pagans and Wiccan's as a Religion & that the Holidays ARE Recognized and Are permitted to be a Religious Holiday off School & Work without penality.
