As many of you know on June 21st 2013 our City was devastated by the brutal senseless murder of a sweet 8 year old little girl named Cherish Perrywinkle...Following Cherish’s death, the Department of Children and Families removed Rayne Perrywinkle’s two other children  from her home...The girls have been in Fostercare for close to 1 year now and their Sister Lindsay Hoy very much wants to adopt them and raise them...Lindsay was not raised by Rayne and here is her story in her own words...Rayne left on a one way ticket when I was five to go back to the states because she believed that was her home. I never bonded with my mother. She was never really around. When Rayne got to the states she began asking Lesley to send me over there to her. Lesley refused as she didn't like the idea. Rayne had no job, money etc and she was very neglectful and abusive. Eventually my grandmother Lesley got legal custody of me and my mother to this day does not except and resents Lesley for that. My grandmother Lesley looked after me most of the time. Kerri Hoy (my auntie) dropped out of high school to watch me and protect me. She was like my second mother also. Kerri and my grandmother Lesley have protected and supported me my whole life

Children need to grow up in safe, nurturing homes. To do otherwise creates an unstable environment both in the home and outside.

These girls should be bought to Australia so they can be with family.
