Fenn College of Engineering: Allow current students' diplomas to read "Fenn College of Engineering"

Current students attending the Fenn College of Engineering have taken the name as part of their identity. It links them to the thousands of alumni before them, including those from the original Fenn College.  It is a name well known in the engineering community.

Current students will not see many benefits from the new donation, and have no connection to the Washkewicz College of Engineering.  To have "Fenn College of Engineering" on their graduation diploma would represent the true school they actually attended and display a part of their identity.

To:
Allow current students' diplomas to read "Fenn College of Engineering"

Sincerely,
[Your name]

Fenn College of Engineering has a well established name for producing good engineers. The name change will take that away from the engineers that are graduating in the future. It seems a little callous to not even give the option of what name current students want on their diplomas.

I am a Fenn alumni and feel the same way. The Fenn College of Engineering has a long a rich history with a great reputation in the community. I don't think that it's fair to the alumni and current student to disassociate them from this heritage. Although Mr Washkewicz's contribution to my beloved alma mater is very much appreciated, I respectfully believe that there are other ways to honor this one man's contribution to our proud school.

The Fenn College of Engineering name is well established and respected in the engineering community. Washkewicz College of Engineering has virtually no identity within this community, and as such does not hold nearly as much value.

Some students enrolled in Fenn College of Engineering over other schools because of the name it comes with. Many of these students are close to graduating, having the majority of their credits from attending Fenn College of Engineering. It would be a huge disappointment having their diplomas not say Fenn College of Engineering in this situation, which is not uncommon.

Personally, I have taken 100% of my engineering credits from Fenn College of Engineering. I am quite upset to hear that my degree will say Washkewicz College of Engineering instead, despite never taking any classes from a college of that name.

I transferred to CSU in order to earn an engineering degree from Fenn College not Washkewicz College. I want to be a Fenn graduate like I've been paying for.
